Kabayan Family Fun Day at Modhesh World

Modhesh World is a gargantuan playground for the young and the young at heart. The sounds, the music, the bright colors, the entertaining games and rides makes it a popular destination among families in Dubai this summer. It also stage different shows during the day. Last August 26 was the day given for the Filipino community to showcase its talents in a concert and we were invited to see the event with our family and friends.

My friend blogger Shiela of AB_andMe and myself applaud at every electrifying performance of our kababayans. I can't help but to feel proud knowing that we have a pool of talented Pinoys in the UAE. It only shows that Filipinos excel in every aspect whether at work or outside of work here in Dubai.

After the guest of honor Ambassador to the UAE HE Grace Princesa arrived with other dignitaries and gave her short but welcoming speech, we were astounded by the very talented Ian Tocle with his Arabic rendition of the popular Frozen song Let It Go.

There was Shama with her cute version of the Frozen song, "For The First Time in Forever"

Emil sang "The Greatest Love of All"

Edwin serenade us with Lion Kings theme song "Can You Feel the Love Tonight"

Truly Pinoys are talented singers and dancers too. Move to the grove of The Trio Dancers.

The singing continued as Leo Manalac enter the stage and sang to us the very popular song that always send me to tears "Dance With My Father Again" giving me goosebumps all the time when I hear it sang ever so endearingly.

The finale was a sing and dance number of the song "Happy" by the all the nights performers leaving the guest and viewers a very happy note.

Thank you to Modhesh World and its organizers for putting up such a show dedicated for all our Kabayans here in Dubai. Mabuhay po kayo!!!

Mabuhay ang Filipinos in Dubai!!!!

PS. I never leave without a souvenir photo you know

  1. Oh I really wanted to attend this fun day and see Her Excellency Grace Prinsesa even from afar. I used to attend university with her daughter P.A..

But you know us mothers - often at the mercy of a husband's schedule hehe. Anyhow, you seem to have a fabulous time. Can't wait for Modhesh return next year!
